Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Backend Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our platform's backend infrastructure. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and secure RESTful services, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of system design, software architecture principles, and performance optimization. Proficiency in PHP backend programming, particularly with Symfony or Laravel, is essential. Experience with event-driven, async, and distributed architectures, as well as PostgreSQL database and data modeling, will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop high-performance backend services and APIs using Symfony or Laravel.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Collaborate with scanner teams to orchestrate scans, ingest vulnerabilities, configure scanners, and ensure seamless integration with our platform.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code, adhering to industry best practices and standards.
- Optimize and refactor existing code to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement robust security measures to protect against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Triage, troubleshoot, and upgrade existing systems to ensure optimal performance and stability.
- Mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews, and promote best practices and high standards within the team.
- An estimated salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
