We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hostel Administrator to join our team at BITS Law School, Mumbai.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing discipline among students, ensuring that hostel residents adhere to published rules and regulations. This includes taking prompt action on cases of misbehavior and indiscipline, reporting incidents to the Head Operations/Administration.
You will oversee student accommodation and hostel administration, coordinating with the accommodation provider/third party. Your duties will also include ensuring smooth operations of the facility, resolving matters concerning student welfare through the BIT Law Administration Head.
A key aspect of this role is to prevent incidents detrimental to student safety and security residing in housing facilities. You will handle new admissions, allocate rooms based on agreed criteria, manage diets, and provide a safe stay.
In addition, you will develop and follow procedures for students leaving during holidays/local stays, maintaining records. You will attend emergencies, including medical issues, and ensure overall student well-being.
Your responsibilities will also include monitoring housekeeping, pest control, hygiene, maintenance, and cleanliness of units. You will inspect and supervise rooms to maintain a proper vigil system.
You will track student canteen/cafe menu, food quality, and hygiene levels. Your daily activities will involve supervising the hostel, taking attendance, and preparing daily reports as required by management.
You will be responsible for Night Out Pass/Gate pass functionality, accommodation security, checking visitor credentials, and reporting serious indiscipline/ragging cases to the Disciplinary committee.
