Job Overview:

The Strategic Software Procurement Lead plays a pivotal role in our organization's success by identifying, sourcing, negotiating, and procuring software products that meet our evolving needs. This dynamic professional will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to understand software requirements, recommend optimal solutions, and ensure seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate software products and services to align with business objectives and budget constraints.
  2. Negotiate with software vendors to secure the best possible pricing, terms, and conditions for software purchases.
  3. Coordinate all procurement activities from Purchase Request to Purchase Order (PR to PO) within our ERP system.
  4. Oversee post-PO tasks and track renewals of all software licenses.
  5. Ensure all purchased software meets company standards and specifications.
  6. Coordinate software delivery, installation, and maintenance.
  7. Maintain accurate records of software licenses, subscriptions, and renewals.
  8. Monitor software usage and suggest optimization strategies.
  9. Stay informed about industry trends and developments in software products and services.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. 5-15 years of experience in software procurement, preferably in a product company.
  3. Familiarity with software licensing and contract management.
  4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  5. Strong data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills.
  6. Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  7. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
