Project Managers in the pharmaceutical sector drive SAP S/4HANA initiatives to align business processes with compliance requirements and strategic goals.

The role includes:

  • Leading SAP S/4HANA projects from initiation to delivery, focusing on upgrades, integrations, and process improvements.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to capture requirements, align solutions with business needs, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinating system testing, pre go-live readiness, cutover, and post go-live support for successful delivery with minimal business disruption.
  • Managing risks, issues, and dependencies, and driving adoption of resolutions across business and IT teams.
  • Overseeing process mapping, documentation, and compliance management according to pharmaceutical standards.
  • Supporting integration efforts with third-party systems and interface solutions.
  • Providing training and knowledge transfer to cross-functional business and technical teams.
  • Acting as an investigative lead, analyzing system or process issues and driving structured solutions.
  • Ensuring effective project governance, reporting, and communication with all stakeholders.

Key Skills and Qualifications

For success in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector, with strong awareness of regulated environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, with experience in commercial business flows and integration projects.
  • Familiarity with RISE with SAP migrations and upgrades.
  • Experience managing third-party integration projects and interface solutions.
  • Strong background in process mapping, documentation management, and change management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills – proven ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to deliver training and support knowledge adoption across business and technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and investigative skills, with the ability to provide structured resolutions.
  • Good to have: Experience with SAP WM or EWM implementations or support.
