Job Title: AI Engineering Specialist

About the Role:

To ensure seamless operation of AI tools, we require a skilled professional to configure and manage data privacy controls. This includes preventing the training of AI models on sensitive data and enforcing zero-retention policies.

The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive audit logs, compliance reporting, and monitoring for OpenAI usage to guarantee adherence to regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities include implementing robust guardrails and moderation tools, including fine-tuned safety layers, to enhance the security and reliability of AI applications.

Additionally, the candidate will track and analyze model performance and usage metrics, producing regular reports for leadership to inform strategic decisions.

They will also optimize prompt engineering and evaluate cost/performance trade-offs, such as comparing GPT-4 and GPT-4o mini, to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

The role requires troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to API calls, latency, and integration failures.

We are looking for an individual who can maintain a detailed internal admin guide with setup/configuration steps, governance rules, and best practices for AI tool management.

They will develop and maintain knowledge bases and wikis for developers and end users to facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development.

The ideal candidate will deliver training sessions for IT staff to expand their expertise in managing OpenAI tools and ensure comprehensive admin coverage.

Collaboration with security, compliance, and engineering teams is essential to expanding the safe and responsible use of AI tools across the organization.

Deliverables:

The successful candidate will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AI tools and oversee their overall governance.

They will address and resolve issues related to the Default Project space, ensuring optimal functionality.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience delivering training and creating documentation, are required.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.

The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of experience in AI applications engineering or a related role.

Demonstrated proficiency in AI tools, particularly Google Gemini, OpenAI, and Anthropic, is essential.

Experience in configuring and managing AI tool environments securely and effectively is necessary.
