Job Overview

We require an experienced engineer to contribute to our R&D team focusing on virtualization and device development.

This role involves working independently with industry standards, cloud-hosted environments, and embedded systems.

The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of virtualization, innovation, and best practices in the field.

  • Virtio Device Development: Design, implement, and enhance virtio devices including audio, GPU, vsock, and networking components.
  • R&D Contributions: Influence virtualization standards through research and innovation, ensuring alignment with global specifications.
  • Industry Collaboration: Engage with organizations like OASIS Virtio Technical Committee to advance industry-wide standards.
  • Cloud-Native Environments: Leverage AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows for efficient deployment and management.

Ambitious candidates will be responsible for architecting solutions from high-level requirements, showcasing expertise in open-source communities (QEMU, Linux kernel Virtio subsystems).

An understanding of standards bodies, upstream contributions, and experience with cloud platforms is essential.
