The Role
  • Design, Develop, and Implement Interfaces: Create and modify complex healthcare interfaces using Corepoint, Mirth Connect, and Rhapsody to support new clinical workflows and business requirements.
  • Test and Troubleshoot Interfaces: Perform rigorous testing to ensure data integrity, message routing accuracy, and system reliability. This involves unit testing, end-to-end testing, and collaboration with clinical and IT teams.
  • Monitor Interface Performance: Provide timely support for production issues, troubleshoot errors, message failures, and connectivity problems to minimize downtime.
  • Create Comprehensive Documentation: Develop design specifications, data maps, and operational procedures for all interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Database Concepts: Write and execute SQL queries.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Collaborate with technical and non-technical staff to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Work independently or as part of a team to achieve project goals.
Experience Required
  • 3–5 Years of Experience: In healthcare integration/interface development.
  • Strong Knowledge of HL7 Standards: v2.x, v3, FHIR, CCD.
  • Communication Protocols: SFTP, MLLP, web services (SOAP/REST).
  • Interface Engine Expertise: Corepoint, Rhapsody, or Mirth.
  • Healthcare Workflows and Interoperability: Good understanding of EHR data exchange concepts.
  • Troubleshooting Tools: Familiarity with debugging tools within interface engines.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical staff.
