{"Position Overview:

The Early Childhood Education Programme Officer will be responsible for developing instructional design and training materials for the age group 3-6 years old, considering all components. This role involves creating training modules for teachers and government stakeholders. The Programme Officer will also require an inclination and understanding of basic data understanding, expertise in programme management, and a passion for working with Anganwadi to bring change.

Deep research attitude and data-driven instruction-making abilities, with agility to work with constant changes.

Roles and Responsibilities:Content Development:
  • Strong understanding of pedagogy and child development-related theories and practices, and the ability to combine theory and practice for on-ground execution. You are motivated by the desire to optimize the organization's productivity by building and nurturing the foundations of ECE and bringing it to life through our programmes.
  • Develop an India-specific Early Childhood Development and Education-focused strategy, building towards systems change.
  • Strong hold on Hindi Language as content will be created in Hindi.
Training & Capacity building
  • Capacity building of teams, partner staff-related stakeholders, and other programme aspects. Design technology initiatives and coordination with different stakeholders (tech agencies, designers, government officials, Anganwadi, implementation partners) for the same.
  • Deep understanding of Policies around ECE around the globe.
Programme Management &Assessment
  • Oversee all technical aspects of the programme, design new initiatives, and ensure quality of programme implementation.
  • Should have a good understanding of evaluation and child assessments and can provide technical inputs.
  • Planning: Implementation plans, budgets, project management trackers, etc. designed with inputs from partners and other Leads, aligned with ECE.
  • Periodic review of project implementation and timely reporting of results.
  • Analyse student assessment data to track progress, identify trends, and make data-informed decisions to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of the foundation-level programme to assess effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and implement evidence-based practices to enhance programme quality.
  • Strong project management skills with proven programme implementation experience.
  • Prior hands-on experience in the Indian education sector and with government stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to design and drive data monitoring systems for large-scale projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's/PG degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in early childhood education.
  • Strong knowledge of child development theories, early childhood curriculum frameworks, and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including teachers, parents, administrators, and community members.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with children.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
