  • This is a leadership role within our Affordable Housing Assurance team, focusing on residential real estate audit engagements. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead audits in the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and HUD compliance space.
  • Responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, preparing audit workpapers, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP, HUD guidelines, and IRS Section 42 requirements.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in affordable housing programs, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive client engagements and deliver high-quality audit services.
  • Strategic guidance on compliance monitoring, risk mitigation, and internal control assessments for affordable housing entities will be essential for this role.
  • Mentorship and training of audit staff on LIHTC/HUD-specific audit procedures and evolving regulatory standards will also be required.
  • Utilizing proprietary tools and data analytics to enhance audit quality and client insights will be a key responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • CPA or CA certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting, specifically in affordable housing or LIHTC engagements.
  • Deep knowledge of affordable housing regulations, HUD audit protocols, and LIHTC program sensitivities is required.
  • Experience with audit platforms such as CaseWare, CCH, and data analytics tools is expected.
  • Ability to manage cross-border teams and work effectively in a global delivery model is necessary.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation skills are required.
