Electrical System Design Expert

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Component Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design of hydro power plant electrical systems and BOP equipment for large hydro and refurbishment projects worldwide.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed engineering documents, including evacuation systems, distribution systems, auxiliary systems, and technical specifications.
  • Design and calculate HV, MV, GIS, Transformer, XLPE, Illumination system, Low voltage AC and DC system, UPS system, Grounding system, Switchyard, Cable, cable tray, Electro-technical studies, Protection System, Excitation system, SFC VSI systems, etc.
  • Analyze field conditions and determine actions needed to resolve problems while ensuring safe and reliable equipment operation.
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams of engineers in resolving problems with tight time constraints.
Key Qualifications:
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in electrical engineering with knowledge of National and International standards (Indian, International, ANSI, NFPA, Canadian electric standard, European standards).
  • Proven track record of pro-activeness, sense of urgency, autonomy, strong written and verbal communication skills, and leadership.
Bonus Characteristics:
  • Prior experience in hydro project execution for electrical systems and or BOP equipment design in reputable firms.
  • Able to travel and take immediate actions when necessary.
  • Self-starter with initiative and interpersonal skills to direct projects and work of cross-functional nature.
