Business valuation professionals are sought to extract and map data from financial statements, tax returns, bank statements, and other relevant documents into valuation models and Excel-based tools.

Responsibilities include conducting research on industry trends, guideline public companies, and precedent transactions. Analysts will analyze historical and projected financial statements to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for further investigation.

They will also identify and implement appropriate normalization adjustments to financial statements, assist in building and refining valuation models, performing adjustments, and applying quantitative techniques to support business valuation conclusions.

Additionally, they will contribute to the drafting of narrative sections of valuation reports, documenting key assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions in clear and professional language.

Prioritization of projects and participation in scheduling meetings is also required.

Over time, these professionals will oversee all stages of the valuation project life cycle, apply appropriate valuation methodologies, reconcile value indications, and prepare and finalize the first draft of valuation reports, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with professional standards, before final review by signers and quality control.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • A business valuation credential (CFA), CA, MBA, or other advanced degree or certification.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
