Job Title: Dcs Hardware Specialist

Job Category: Hardware Engineering and Management

In This Role:

  • Analyze customer inputs and understand requirements such as design specifications, IO lists, instrument indices, MCC drawings, HW loop typicals, etc.
  • Follow Emerson's FSM process and maintain all SIS-related documentation of the assigned activities as per safety lifecycle requirement.
  • Verify compliance to IEC 61511 and other as per assigned scope in project.
  • Raise technical queries, develop system architecture, develop system interconnection diagrams, perform heat power and weight calculations, assign I/O to controllers, define hardware concepts, and define third-party interfaces.
  • Develop, review, and manage bills of material (BOM) for DCS and SIS designs, perform design reviews of HW typicals and drawings for various cabinets, select third-party components, and review third-party devices for test compatibility with the system.
  • Monitor and review cabinet builds, develop internal test plans, perform internal testing, perform third-party interface tests, develop HW FAT plans, develop HW-SW integration plans, and perform integrated testing between SW and HW.
  • Perform FAT with customers, develop as-built documentation, develop SAT plans, and perform SAT at customer locations, loop checks at site startup, commissioning support, quality control, assurance, and implementation of EEEC IMS processes documentation as when required throughout the project.
  • Adopt WA quality requirements and customer regulatory guidelines, practice first-time right approaches, strictly follow good documentation practices, and perform other additional specific duties when requested by the business.
  • Typically, these duties will be strategic in nature but could potentially be anything that the post holder is suitably qualified and experienced to undertake.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience in the field of process control and automation. DCS SIS HW design experience in the engineering industry is desired.

Qualifications: Must be a bachelor's graduate in instrumentation, electronics, telecommunications, or a related field.
