System Development Specialist

Your responsibilities will involve analyzing customer inputs, understanding requirements such as design specifications, I/O lists, instrument indexes, MCC drawings, and hardware loop typicals.

  • Implement the Emerson FSM process and maintain all SIS-related documentation of assigned activities according to safety lifecycle requirements.
  • Verify compliance with IEC 61511 and other assigned scopes in projects.
  • Raise technical queries to ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop system architecture to meet project needs.
  • Design and develop system interconnection diagrams.
  • Perform I/O to controller assignment tasks.
  • Define hardware concepts and third-party interfaces.
  • Develop or review BOMs for DCS and SIS systems.
  • Design and review HW typicals and drawings for various cabinets.
  • Design and review furniture consoles and matrix panels for ESD and FGS.
  • Select third-party components and verify their compatibility with the system.
  • Monitor and review cabinet build processes.
  • Develop internal test plans and perform internal testing.
  • Perform third-party interface testing.
  • Develop HW FAT plans and perform integrated testing between SW and HW.
  • Develop As-Built documentation and SAT plans.
  • Perform startup and commissioning support tasks.
Quality Assurance and Control

Our Quality Assurance and Control process involves implementation of EEEC IMS processes/documentation as needed throughout the project.

  • Adhere to WA quality requirements and customer regulatory guidelines.
  • Practice a first-time right approach to minimize errors.
  • Follow GDP (Good Documentation Practices) at all times.
Additional Responsibilities

As a System Development Specialist, you will be expected to perform additional duties when requested by management. These duties will typically be strategic in nature but could potentially include any task that you are qualified and experienced to undertake.

For this role, we require:

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the field of process control and automation. Experience in DCS/SIS HW Design in the engineering industry is desired.
