Job Summary

Building and Maintaining Data Systems

As a data engineer, you will create robust data solutions using cutting-edge technologies.

This role involves collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to ensure high-quality data and availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create efficient ETL pipelines utilizing PySpark and AWS Glue for reliable data processing.
  • Work with analysts to design scalable data lakes using AWS S3 and related services.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for efficient data transformation and storage.
  • Maintain code quality by employing Git for version control and collaboration.
  • Design and manage databases using Amazon DynamoDB and Redshift for high-performance analytics.
  • Create interactive dashboards using Amazon QuickSight for data-driven decision-making.
  • Automate workflows with AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and EventBridge for streamlined operations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data issues to ensure timely resolution.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Strong hands-on experience with PySpark, Python, and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Proficient in Git and AWS services (Glue, S3, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, DynamoDB, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Databricks and its ecosystem for big data processing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for effective collaboration.
Preferred Skills:
  • Data modeling and warehousing expertise for complex data systems.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark for distributed data processing.
  • AWS certifications in data engineering are advantageous for career advancement.
