Programme Management Role

About the Role
  • We are seeking an experienced Programme Director to lead our programme development and management.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programme design, implementation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
  1. To develop comprehensive long-term strategies and annual plans for programme themes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  2. To identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation, strengthening programme impact through effective partnerships.
  3. To oversee select programme areas, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery in line with agreed goals.
  4. To provide guidance to project teams, enhancing operational efficiency and responsiveness.
  5. To engage with implementing agencies, knowledge partners, and peer organisations, strengthening programme outcomes.
  6. To represent the organisation in external forums as required.
  7. To mentor mid-level team members, supporting their growth into leadership roles.
  8. To foster a collaborative culture that values learning and accountability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in social sciences, development studies, public policy, or a related discipline.
  • At least 12–15 years of relevant experience in programme design, management, or evaluation within the development sector, including experience in leadership roles.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage multi-stakeholder partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to think strategically and translate plans into results.
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural and social contexts.
