Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Train Control System Designer to develop the architecture and functionality of a Train Control & Information System (TC&IS) subsystem.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define functional, performance, transverse, and train-level requirements for the dedicated subsystem.
  • Integrate the subsystem into the train mechanically and electrically.
  • Determine interfaces for the dedicated subsystem.
  • Verify the subsystem, focusing on train-level design reviews.
  • Manage change and configuration processes for the subsystem.
  • Plan and follow up on activities linked to the subsystem.
  • Support sourcing, suppliers, PUs, S&A Engineers, Interior engineers, RAMS engineers, and validation engineers.

Performance Metrics/KPIs:

  • Quality of delivery, including sub-contractor delivery.
  • Number of Functional Change Request defects raised.
  • Respect of delivery planning, including sub-contractor delivery.
  • Level of application of standard methodologies and processes.
  • Continuous improvement or Return on Experience (RoE) management from previous projects.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in developing complex systems and strong communication skills. Proficiency in technical documentation and project management is also essential.
