Electrical Panel Quality Assurance Manager

The successful candidate will oversee all quality assurance and control processes at our manufacturing facility for low-voltage electrical panels. This role ensures compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal quality objectives.

  • Quality Management System: Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS to ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant standards for LV electrical panel manufacturing.
  • Process Oversight: Monitor and control quality processes across all stages of production, from raw material inspection to final product testing.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians to achieve quality objectives.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL) and customer-specific requirements for LV electrical panels.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for process optimization, defect reduction, and quality improvement using tools like Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis.
  • Testing and Validation: Oversee testing procedures, including dielectric tests, temperature rise tests, and short-circuit withstand tests, to ensure product reliability and safety.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality specifications and conduct supplier audits as needed.
  • Customer Interface: Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related customer queries, complaints, and audits.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate quality records, prepare reports, and present quality performance metrics to senior management.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate them.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training programs for employees on quality standards, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or certifications in Quality Management is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the LV electrical panel or similar electrical manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of LV electrical panel design, manufacturing processes, and testing standards.
  • Skills:
  • Expertise in QMS, Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Proficiency in quality tools like FMEA, Pareto charts, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and quality management software.
  • Certifications: Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards is highly desirable.
