Senior Risk Governance Specialist

Risk Management is a vital function in our organization, encompassing various practices that ensure the optimal balance between risk and opportunity. As a Risk Manager, you will be responsible for uplifting risk management practices to achieve interconnectivity of processes, controls, obligations, and risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uplifting of risk management practices for effective process interconnectivity
- Support for key business activities including Risk Reviews and Risk Reporting
- Demonstrate ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and productivity
- Proactively manage risk, meeting all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to relevant procedures pertinent to the role; and escalate events, issues, or breaches as identified.
Requirements:
- 7-15 years' experience in a financial institution - preferably in risk management (or eagerness to learn)
- Understanding of Operational Risk practices, including obligations, risks, and controls frameworks
- Governance and Reporting experience
- Technical dexterity using Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary or Post Graduate Degree in Risk, Finance, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline
