Salesforce Data Integration Architect Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Data Integration Architect to join our team at Unisys India Pvt. Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data architecture and integration solutions within the Salesforce platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Salesforce Technical Integration Architecture for client delivery projects
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platforms and products
  • Develop and execute comprehensive integration strategies aligned with business objectives and technical requirements
  • Evaluate, select, and configure integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica) to meet project needs
  • Design and document scalable and efficient integration architectures, considering factors such as performance, security, and maintainability
  • Identify and confirm technical design risks, and develop mitigating approaches
  • Define and implement data mapping rules and transformations to ensure accurate and consistent data flow
  • Create and manage REST and SOAP APIs to enable data exchange between Salesforce and external systems
  • Provide detailed level of effort estimates for proposed technical solutions
  • Articulate the benefits and risks to a (technical) solution's feasibility and functionality
  • Follow and understand new Salesforce product and (technical) capabilities resulting from product releases and acquisitions
  • Provide detailed level of effort estimates for proposed solutions and provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to developers
  • Demonstrate thought leadership through publishing, public speaking, and client presentations
  • Coach and mentor junior technical team members
  • Support in interviewing prospective candidates
  • Advocate and implement standard process development methodology to drive quality delivery of enterprise solutions

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience on Salesforce implementations
  • 5+ years of experience in handling client-facing projects in positions of increasing responsibility in the context of systems development and related business consulting
  • 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Integration Architect
  • 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Data Architect
  • Handling multiple projects/issues, Coaching Leads, Strong Industries background
  • Experience working on Salesforce implementation projects with end-to-end implementation experience with the Salesforce platform from a technical perspective
  • Ability to define the system architecture and landscape, to identify gaps between current and desired end-states
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and APIs (Apex, SOAP, REST)
  • Wider knowledge of IBM and other common integration solutions
  • Experience in designing and developing software components and solutions
  • Proficiency in at least one integration platform (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica)
  • Expertise in REST and SOAP API design, development, and testing
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling principles and experience in data mapping and transformation
  • Integration experience using both Web-based technologies (Soap, ReST) and Integration/Middleware tools such as Informatica, Jitterbit, and MuleSoft
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • Knowledge of options and how to handle security requirements such as single sign-on and data security
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native integration patterns
  • Understanding of security best practices for integration solutions, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption
  • Have creative problem-solving and analysis skills with an ability to identify, develop, and implement solutions to gaps to meet the needs of the business
  • Ability to lead design sessions and communicate design options to clients
  • Extensive experience in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methods
  • Experience with Release Management, Source Control, and Deployment concepts and technologies such as ANT, GIT, SFDC Metadata API, Jenkins, SVN
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent client-facing written and oral communications skills
  • Strong communication, time-management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Other desirable experience: App Cloud, Heroku, and Lightning UI/component experience
