Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead our product design and development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving skills, and leadership ability to guide a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop complete mechanical design and development lifecycle: concept design → prototyping → design validation → tooling → product launch.
  • Translate customer/market requirements into innovative and manufacturable product designs.
  • Design detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks with full GD&T and tolerance stack-up.
  • Perform design calculations, DFMEA, and tolerance analysis for robust product performance.
  • Drive material selection based on performance, regulatory compliance, and cost.
  • Ensure manufacturability, assembly efficiency, and cost optimization.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead and mentor a small team of mechanical engineers, providing technical guidance and design reviews.
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with electrical, firmware, quality, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.
  • Work with vendors for prototyping, tooling, and production ramp-up.

Requirements:

  • Must have 8–10 years of mechanical product design & development experience.
  • Education in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • Strong background in consumer electronics or similar domain experience is preferred.
  • Must-have: SolidWorks CAD expertise with simulation exposure (thermal/structural FEA).
