Financial Planning Specialist

Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented finance professional to oversee and enhance our budgeting and financial forecasting processes.

This role will be responsible for developing annual and quarterly budgets, tracking financial performance, and identifying areas for cost optimization and process improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles, experience in financial reporting and analysis, and a proactive approach to risk and cash flow management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budget Development: Develop and present annual and quarterly budgets for revenue and expense
  • Financial Forecasting: Forecast financial trends throughout the year
  • Budget Monitoring and Analysis: Track and analyze financial performance, comparing actual results to budgeted amounts
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports
  • Process Improvement: Improve budgeting and forecasting processes, automate existing processes to save time and cost
  • Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation
  • Cash Flow Management: Identify and report gaps in forecasted collection vs actual receipts
  • Risk Management: Identify, flag, and analyze potential financial and budgetary risks

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting techniques, and accounting practices
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and data
  • Identify trends and variances
  • Exposure in project cost estimation and monitoring
  • Exposure to financial management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present financial information clearly
  • Ability to identify and resolve financial issues and challenges
  • Experience in financial software package
  • Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience
