Strategic Backend Engineer - Headless CMS Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer with expertise in Strapi CMS to spearhead our API development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and scaling RESTful APIs, with experience working on headless CMS platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs using Strapi CMS, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless API integration and security governance.
  • Mentor junior engineers in API design and development, promoting knowledge sharing and skill enhancement.
  • Contribute to architecture decision-making processes for headless CMS platforms, driving innovation and efficiency.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with other headless CMS platforms (Contentful, Sanity, Prismic) for comparison and architecture decisions.
  • Exposure to frontend frameworks (React) for end-to-end project collaboration and cohesive user experiences.

Requirements:

  1. 4+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer, with at least 2+ years focused on Strapi CMS in production environments.
  2. Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js, with proficiency in modern web development tools and technologies.
  3. Proven experience designing and scaling RESTful APIs, with a focus on performance, security, and maintainability.
  4. Deep understanding of authentication/authorization, security best practices, and API governance, ensuring seamless API interactions.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with a track record of mentoring and guiding teams to achieve common goals.
