Talent500 is hiring a Senior Lead Data Engineer to join their Enterprise Data & Analytics team.

About the Role

As an experienced data engineer, you will oversee the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance data solutions that support business units across a world-class manufacturing organization.

You will serve as a technical leader and mentor, driving best practices in data engineering, architecture, and governance. Your expertise will be crucial in enabling AI-driven business capabilities through high-quality, well-governed data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and optimize complex data pipelines using Databricks and Azure Data Services.
  • Lead the development of scalable data solutions using Python, PySpark, and distributed computing frameworks.
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards, ensuring data is timely, accurate, and complete.
  • Develop enterprise-grade data models using star and snowflake schemas.
  • Create and review advanced SQL code, including CTEs, aggregations, and complex joins.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust data solutions.
  • Promote documentation, metadata management, and data governance practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Databricks.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python, PySpark, and distributed data processing.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT best practices.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including CTEs, aggregations, and joins.

A strong background in software development, data analysis, and technical leadership is essential for this role.
