Job Title Senior Software Engineer I Technical Architect Location HyderabadIntroduction to EA India Centre Electronic Arts Inc is a global interactive entertainment software company EA develops interactive software worldwide for video game systems personal computers wireless devices and the Internet You will report to Director Software Engineering Opportunity AheadEA s Digital Platform EADP organisation drives critical technology decisions and investments for EA on a global scale across all divisions and studio teams Technology and engineering leadership at EA is critical to making the industry s best games services and the EADP team is leading the way to providing cross-platform services to keep our consumers connected with our games anytime anywhere with anyone EA Hyderabad has an opportunity for a Sr Software Engineer I position As a Sr Software Engineer I you will be a senior technical member of the central engineering team to design high throughput world class services at global scale for our next-generation games EA s network of games caters to tens of millions of monthly active users You ll build platform capabilities handling several hundred-thousand requests per second and driving the player engagement of many of the industry s most popular titles If you like solving complex computing problems are a passionate team player and excel this is a great opportunity for you What Would You Do You will Architect develop massively scalable services solutions platforms UI components with stellar performance Provide technology roadmap direction for platforms products and features Improve for simplicity and low maintenance Collaborate with distributed teams and deliver amazing experiences to the players Improve technical excellence amongst team members by mentoring Lead and support companywide technology initiatives in partnership with other architects Provide accurate estimates on deliverables for yourself and help team on the same Identify and mitigate technology risks during early stages of development Provide architectural guidance and inputs for Quality Assurance Load Performance Testing Capacity Planning Review design code for adherence to architecture security compliance and coding standards Institutionalize promote engineering best practices across teams Identify the right choice of tools for solving the problem to minimize time money and maximise efficiency The last level in the escalation chain for resolving technical issuesMust have Skills Bachelor of Technology or Engineering from a reputed institute 12 years of experience working in Java J2EE technologies and 8 years of experience in building scalable distributed systems using Microservices architecture Command over Spring Spring Boot gRPC Load Balancing Caching Message Buses Kafka etc AWS Cloud Kubernetes Docker and other commonly used tools techniques for building distributed systems on the cloud Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying high-volume high transaction-based distributed and highly available web applications Hands-on experience in building rich UI applications using JavaScript TypeScript frameworks and libraries such as React Angular HTML and CSS Hands on experience using UI tools testing frameworks Demonstrated ability to architect distributed services on Cloud Platforms using OSS CNCF standards Strong Understand of microservices event-driven patterns Excellent understanding of object-oriented design patterns and design principles Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases such as RDS Elasticsearch and Cassandra Experience Kafka Amazon SNS Elasticsearch Redis etc Experience DevOps including building CI CD pipelines using Docker Jenkins Gitlab CI KubernetesDesired Skills Experience with EKS Terraform Helm Experience in Amazon Aurora DynamoDB Redshift Experience in building deploying web applications using service mesh Istio using mesh features Experience in Streaming processing technologies - Kafka Streams FlinkDon t Just Play It - Create It
