Job Opportunity:

An Accounts Receivable Specialist is required to oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts from customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective strategies for collecting outstanding debts.
  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and determine necessary actions.
  • Negotiate payment plans and resolve issues or disputes with customers.
  • Coordinate with sales and customer service to resolve billing inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collection activities.
  • Analyze delinquent accounts and prepare reports on collections status.
  • Implement credit policies to minimize late payments.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel or external agencies as needed.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must be a Certified Accountant/Chartered Accountant (CA/CS).
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field. A master's degree may be preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable management, preferably supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, particularly accounts receivable and collections.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical mindset for assessing data and trends.
  • Familiarity with collection software and tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for handling challenging situations.
