Senior Accountant Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior accountant to join our organization and play a key role in managing the accounts receivable collections process. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for coordinating with various finance stakeholders and customers to resolve any outstanding invoice-related issues.

You will analyze customer disputes, queries, and credit memos. Additionally, you will work closely with departments to get a resolution and communicate effectively with customers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Following up on past due invoices for assigned customer accounts, sending statement of account, emailing invoice copies, requesting back-up support, and resolving disputes on account.
  • Analyzing customer disputes, queries, and credit memos.
  • Coordinating between departments to get a resolution and communicating effectively with customers.
  • Researching partial payments, invalid deductions, unallocated cash, and open credit memos on customer accounts.
  • Performing account reconciliations to ensure payments and credit memos are applied to the correct invoices and working with Cash Applications to rectify any errors in postings.
  • Delivering quality customer service by researching and responding to all internal & external partners inquiries within the agreed threshold.
  • Participating in portfolio reviews, sharing current updates on assigned portfolio to track progress on aged debt, disputes, unallocated cash, and credit memos.
  • Ensuring meeting the past due and collections targets set for the portfolio.

Key qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce or equivalent.
  • Relevant prior work experience.
  • ERP experience of Microsoft AX, Oracle, Salesforce, SAP.
  • Experience with AR System of Engagement (SOE) such as Blackline, High Radius, Get Paid.
  • Proficiency in using MS office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn fast, absorb knowledge, and apply newly learned information.
