Job Description

We are looking for a skilled professional to fill the position of Cloud Financial Operations Specialist. This role involves providing expertise in cloud financial management, cost optimization, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in AWS cost management, as well as relevant FinOps certifications. They will advise on cloud cost management strategies, provide insights into common FinOps use cases, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to map real-world challenges into product features.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on cloud cost management strategies across AWS, and optionally GCP & Azure.
  • Provide insights into common FinOps use cases such as showback/chargeback, forecasting, budget guardrails, anomaly detection, rightsizing, and workload optimization.
  • Collaborate with our engineering and product teams to map real-world challenges into product features.
  • Share expertise in cost allocation, tagging strategies, and governance frameworks.
  • Highlight gaps in current market tools and suggest opportunities for differentiation.
  • Guide adoption of FinOps best practices in alignment with the FinOps Foundation principles.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3–6+ years of experience in FinOps, Cloud Cost Optimization, or Cloud Financial Management.
  • Strong practical expertise in AWS Cost Explorer, CUR, CloudWatch, Trusted Advisor, and Budgets.
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner / Advanced Practitioner certification is mandatory.
  • Proven experience implementing chargeback/showback models, forecasting, and cloud governance.
  • Solid technical understanding of cloud architecture and usage drivers (compute, storage, networking).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills (Finance and Engineering).
