About the Role

The role of a Compliance Expert is to ensure adherence to all applicable labour laws and regulations. This involves staying up-to-date with changes in legislation and ensuring that the company's policies and procedures are aligned with these requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring timely compliance with all applicable labour laws, including EPF, ESIC, PT, LWF, CLRA, S&E Acts, ID Act, Gratuity Act, etc.
  • Oversight of state-wise compliance requirements and filings across locations.
  • Conducting onboarding checks for statutory forms and declarations.
  • Addressing and resolving employee PF-related queries in coordination with vendors and regional offices.
  • Real-time tracking and closure of compliance deliverables using Navi's compliance tracking system.
  • Interpretation and implementation of HR compliance guidelines issued by IRDAI, RBI, SEBI.
  • Maintenance of awareness of new and changing regulatory mandates affecting HR operations and workforce governance.
  • Documentation and records maintenance as per sector regulators' requirements.
  • Maintenance of statutory registers, compliance folders, and inspection records.
  • Coordination and support for internal, external, and regulatory audits for HR data, PI data, and vendor data.
  • Escalation of potential compliance lapses and support for corrective actions.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Human Resources, Labour Law, or a related field.
  • Additional certification in labour law or statutory compliance is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR compliance, preferably in a regulated industry (financial services, fintech, or insurance).
  • Hands-on experience managing compliance audits, inspections, and liaison with regulatory authorities.
  • Strong knowledge of central and state labour laws and statutory regulations.
  • Familiarity with sector-specific compliance (IRDAI, RBI, SEBI).
  • Ability to manage multi-state compliance complexity.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and audit readiness.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using compliance tracking tools, HRMS, and MS Office.
