Electrical Reliability Lead

Job Description

  • Develop and implement Design for Reliability (DFR) strategies to ensure the reliability of electrical products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, manage, and mitigate reliability risks in new product development programs.
  • Lead the planning and execution of reliability life testing, leveraging Eaton internal test labs and external agencies as appropriate.
  • Build data analytics-based solutions by leveraging electrical/electronics products actuarial databases in the area of reliability life modeling.
  • Arrest warranty defects through optimized burn-in strategies in close collaboration with respective plants and drive problem-solving methods within the organization.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Reliability engineering or related field.
  • Required: 5+ years of experience in electrical/electronics product reliability or related field.

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in DfR process like reliability modeling, goal setting, allocation, prediction, demonstration.
  • Knowledge in FRACAS and reducing field/warranty data into relevant life and failure rate information.
  • Desired: Relevant work experience in the field of electronics and electrical systems.

  • Takes complete responsibility of assigned tasks and delivers results despite roadblocks.
  • Passion - Pursues everything with drive and motivates others around to contribute towards the cause.
