Service Desk Engineer

Job Title: Service Desk Engineer
West Pharmaceutical Services is seeking a skilled Service Desk Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our global service desk, you will provide professional IT support and service to our users worldwide. The service desk operates 24/7 with a rotating shift model, covering a range of services including application, workplace, phone, print, storage, communication, and collaboration services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users at a global level.
- Utilize Jira ticketing system for user-reported issues and address them quickly on a daily basis.
- Create, maintain, and distribute reports of progress to management as needed.
- Coordinate with vendors for service-related issues and follow through on Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities.
- Perform routine checks on IT hardware inventory and ensure network printers are functioning during business hours.
- Setup and configure domain accounts, Outlook profiles for new and existing users, and maintain desktops, laptops, and printer environments according to IT standards.
- Check IT hardware, software, and network devices to ensure they are functioning well when needed.
- Take corrective actions to fix problems affecting the information system and ensure business continuity.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of related work experience.
- Degree in Computer Application/Science.
- Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and MAC OS administration, Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Active Directory, and Server Administration.
- Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, CISCO AMP Antivirus, Network printers, and VMware, Hyper-V, and ZPA (Zscaler Private Access) is desirable.
Working Conditions:
- Willingness to work from 12:00pm to 9:00pm shift.
- Occasional on-call work required.
- Flexibility to work during AP, US, and EU time zones, and willingness to work outside of these hours as needed.
