Consultant - Manufacturing Expert

The role involves working closely with clients to comprehend their business needs and translate them into actionable outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Gathering requirements from decision-makers and end-users, recommending optimal business processes relative to ERP functionality
  • Understanding manufacturing business processes and devising methods to implement them with the ERP application
  • Conducting a functional assessment at a client site within the manufacturing/distribution/planning areas
  • Configuring and testing ERP to perform specific functionality to satisfy business requirements
  • Assisting with full-site implementations and upgrades, including pilot testing, data validation, development of data transformation rules, and post-implementation support
  • Troubleshooting ERP anomalies and process issues
  • Maintaining documentation relative to ERP implementation/upgrade
  • Interacting with business users for training, problem-solving, and automation of business processes
  • Identifying and communicating opportunities to improve current processes and procedures
  • Assessing impacts of system changes and ensuring effective delivery of application functionality and integration
  • Liaising between clients and developers to define custom programming needs
  • Meeting project deadlines
  • Supporting sales opportunities and resolving client issues that affect the client-business relationship

Qualifications:

  • At least 5-7 years of hands-on experience with implementing or supporting ERP applications. Preference given to candidates with experience in implementing and supporting BaaN in a manufacturing/distribution/planning environment
  • Strong knowledge of Infor LN 10.7 On-prem or Cloud Edition modules, specifically Manufacturing, Engineering, Demand planning (MFG, BOM, ROU)
  • Knowledge of tp-Project module and Product Configurator is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain modules (Purchase, Sales, Central invoicing) is an added advantage
  • Strong functional knowledge in your area of expertise. Business experience in the same domain area is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with creating Functional Specifications, creation, and execution of test cases
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required. Equivalent experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, or Factory Supervision considered
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences

Additional Optional Requirements:

  • Ability to speak any European language like basic French, German, or Italian and converse with end-users will be an added advantage
  • Willingness to travel to on-site locations as per project needs
