AML Transaction Monitoring Specialist

We are seeking an experienced AML transaction monitoring professional to assume a key role in our compliance department.

  • Conduct thorough reviews of assigned alerts using the AML alert management system.
  • Analyze manual referrals generated by different areas of the organization to identify potential risks.
  • Review and analyze low, medium, and high-risk accounts to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will utilize LexisNexis and other online tools to conduct enhanced due diligence research on individuals, institutions, and trusts. Effective communication with management is also essential, as you will report suspicious transactions conducted by customers.

Key qualifications for this position include strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and extensive knowledge of banking and compliance regulations. The successful candidate will have experience in identifying significant cases, red flags, and patterns associated with illicit fund laundering.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and investigate potential suspicious activity.
  • Analyze data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate findings to management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, accounting, law).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in AML transaction monitoring.
