Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Specialist

This position plays a vital role in ensuring the continuity and growth of our business by complying with regulations applicable to our products and business activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We execute transactional processes as necessary to ensure day-to-day compliance with applicable hazard communication regulations associated with raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Our team is responsible for Safety Data Sheet and label generation and maintenance.
  • We participate in the screening of new raw materials and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
  • Regulatory approval is required in the New Product Introduction (NPI), product extension, and product translation processes.

This role provides regulatory support to both internal and external customers, contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards, and ongoing implementation and continuous improvement of product safety, hazard communication, and regulatory processes and system support.

Requirements:
  • We contribute to processes related to hazard communication activities on data management and process improvements.
  • Support is provided in the preparation and update of Safety Data Sheets and labels for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using standard systems and processes as per the regional regulatory requirements.
  • Interaction occurs with global customers, suppliers, and other applicable functions in supporting hazard communication and regulatory compliance needs.
  • Participation in the screening of new raw materials and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
  • Support is given for the update and management of compositions for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using standard systems and processes.
  • Initiation of Notification of Change (NOC) processes is undertaken as needed.

Qualifications:

  • The following are required for the role:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Life Science, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or equivalent is essential.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience working in a chemical, petrochemical or related field with expertise in Product Stewardship and Regulatory Compliance, Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, and Industrial Hygiene is desirable.
  • Strong English verbal, written, and presentation skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in standard office systems is required.
