We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team in Mumbai, India.

As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our data assets. This includes performing hands-on stewardship tasks to execute data domain-specific governance policies, standards, and procedures.

You will work closely with regional and global stakeholders to establish data quality requirements, policies, and standards. Additionally, you will validate and monitor the level of data quality, contribute to the development of business rules that govern respective data domains, and create measures and metrics to show progress of solving issues through stewardship activities.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on stewardship tasks to execute data domain-specific governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Work with regions to overcome bottlenecks and ensure data readiness for downstream analytics.
  • Establish data quality requirements, policies, and standards.
  • Validate and monitor the level of data quality.
  • Create measures and metrics to show progress of solving issues through stewardship activities.

**Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • 6 years of hands-on experience in data stewardship activities and validating data as fit for purpose.
  • Masters or bachelors degree in information sciences, engineering, or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in enterprise data quality and cataloging tools, such as Informatica, TIBCO, Collibra, or Alation.
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, data profiling, data engineering, data integration, data reporting, analytics, and data management tools.
  • Familiarity with languages such as Python, R, SAS, and SQL, as well as cloud-based tools and capabilities.
