Job Title: VMware Administrator

We are seeking a skilled VMware Administrator to join our team.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented IT professional to work with us in implementing and maintaining cutting-edge virtualization solutions using VMware vSphere. As a VMware Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing large-scale virtualized environments that meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement and manage VMware vSphere infrastructure including vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, and Virtual Machines.

- Develop and maintain scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest VMware technologies and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong background in VMware vSphere administration.
  • Experience with cloud technology, specifically AWS and Azure.
  • Proficiency in version control systems such as Git.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Crossplane.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating system administration.
  • Hands-on experience with vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestrator, and scripting languages such as Ansible and PowerShell.
  • AWS IAM and Azure AD knowledge.
  • Containerization orchestration skills with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • CICD pipeline experience with Jenkins and GitLab CI.
  • ITIL Framework Change Management skills.
  • Networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Automation configuration management skills with Ansible.
  • Cloud security best practices including data encryption, security groups, and key management.
  • Performance tuning and capacity planning skills.
