Electronics Manufacturing Services Business Development Lead

Karkhana.io is a technology-driven platform for contract manufacturing, partnering with OEMs and technology companies globally to efficiently manufacture custom-built products and assemblies via its network of highly vetted Manufacturing MSMEs in India.

Our flexible and turnkey solutions provide speed and transparency in manufacturing for the OEMs and empower MSMEs to grow their business. We offer manufacturing solutions across industries such as electric mobility, energy, consumer electronics, medical devices, and aerospace, strengthening supply chains in EMS & box builds for domestic and export markets.

The successful candidate will spearhead sales efforts within the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) sector, driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in electronics sales, a deep understanding of EMS & Box Build, and a proven track record of meeting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy & Execution

• Develop and implement sales strategies with an understanding of demand and Karkhana.io's solutions.

• Identify and target potential customers in the industrial/consumer electronics sector, including OEMs, product companies, and other key players.

• Drive the sales plan and ensure yearly targets are met as per the budget.

• Help build a strategic roadmap for Karkhana.io's electronics offering.

2. Customer Relationship Management

• Maintain a deep understanding of the company's EMS capabilities, product offerings, and technological advancements.

• Build and maintain strong trust and customer relationships through effective engagement.

• Understand technical and commercial requirements of customers and provide the best solution and offer within time lines.

• Serve as a Key Account Manager for customers and lead all technical and business discussions.

3. Leadership & Team Building

• Lead and mentor the sales team, implementing a performance culture.

• Provide guidance and support to the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.

• Conduct regular performance reviews and implement professional development plans.

4. Sales Reporting and Forecasting

• Prepare annual budgets and submit monthly sales vs actual reports to senior leadership.

• Track sales metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

• Maintain up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and contract negotiations.

5. Collaboration & Co-ordination

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and supply chain, to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project delivery.

• Coordinate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns to support sales efforts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Business, or a related field.

• Minimum 10 years of sales experience in the electronics or EMS industry.

• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

• In-depth knowledge of EMS, electronics manufacturing processes, and industry trends.

• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend events.

Estimated salary: ₹25,00,000 - ₹40,00,000 per annum.
