Financial Leadership Opportunity

As a seasoned finance professional, you will play a pivotal role in driving our organization's financial success. In this position, you will oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with relevant accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the month-end close process, recording income, expenses, and changes in assets and liabilities in compliance with IFRS requirements.
  • Review and approve journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement trend analyses for senior management.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date with technical accounting developments to ensure accounting policies and procedures remain compliant.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze contract terms and revenue recognition.
  • Participate in quarterly forecasting procedures and annual budget processes.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of financial and accounting experience, including 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience required.
  • BS or BA in Accounting, CPA/CA certification preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong technical accounting background with knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Experience with software revenue recognition.
  • Ability to communicate complex accounting issues effectively.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily a sedentary job requiring prolonged sitting and typing.
  • Ability to observe computer screens for extended periods.
  • Clear communication skills for customer interactions.
