Financial Reporting and Accounting Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Reporting and Accounting Expert to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of post-qualification experience and a proven track record in financial statement preparation, month-end closing, and team management.

About the Role

  • Lead the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with NACAS Accounting Standards and IND AS.
  • Manage the month-end book closure process, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of expenses to ensure proper classification, recognition, and TDS compliances. Oversee revenue recognition processes in line with accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.). Stay updated on changes in GST laws and regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and other balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, schedules, and explanations.
  • Prepare various financial reports MIS for management, highlighting key trends and providing insightful analysis on financial performance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and accounting operations.
  • Design and implement SOPs across the company to ensure compliance and control.
  • Implement ERP, EMS, and other technology tools to improve employee productivity.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant accounting or finance role.
  • Proven expertise in financial statement preparation and month-end closing.
  • Experience in team management.
  • In-depth knowledge of NACAS Accounting Standards and IND AS is essential.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with GST compliances and return filings.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
