Required Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven experience in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HDFS, Kafka)
  • Strong expertise in SQL (query optimization, stored procedures, complex joins)
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools/processes (Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi, Airflow)
  • Deep understanding of Data Warehousing concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, fact/dimension tables)
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, it's nice to have experience in real-time data streaming (Kafka, Flink, Kinesis), knowledge of containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and familiarity with DevOps practices for CI/CD in data engineering.
