Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Data Infrastructure Expert to contribute to our Information Technology team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage database servers, encompassing security, deployment, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
  • Implement SQL Server replication, mirroring, and high availability across hybrid environments as required.
  • Design and deploy new installations on Azure, AWS, and cloud hosting without specific DB services.
  • Deploy and maintain on-premise installations of SQL Server on Linux/MySQL installation.
  • Ensure database security against vulnerabilities like SQL injection and data exploitation.
  • Collaborate with development teams for data storage and query design/optimization where necessary.
  • Participate in designing and implementing critical applications.
  • Provide expertise throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Help create scalable technology solutions.
  • Review current systems and suggest improvements as needed.
  • Gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document procedures for setting up and maintaining a highly available SQL Server database on Azure cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
  • Test and debug new applications and updates.
  • Resolve reported issues and respond to queries efficiently.
  • Stay updated on best practices, trends, and industry developments.
  • Identify potential challenges and address them proactively.

Requirements:
Must have experience managing databases, implementing SQL Server features, and collaborating with development teams. Proficiency in Linux, MySQL, and cloud hosting is essential.
