Job Title: Senior SQL Database Administrator

Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior SQL Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of SQL servers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server architecture, parameters, T-SQL, triggers, and procedures. They should also have hands-on experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, including clustering, Always-On Groups, and replication.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot SQL servers
  • Design and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions
  • Configure and manage replication
  • Patch management
  • Always On AG scenarios – Failover
  • Server capacity monitoring, analysis, and tuning activities
  • Automation using scripts and tools in the area of Backup, Monitoring, Resource Utilization, HA alerts, capacity plan management
  • SQL Server Tuning
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, parameters, T-SQL, triggers, and procedures
  • Hands-on experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions
  • Experience with replication, patch management, and Always On AG scenarios
  • Ability to design and implement effective backup strategies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
