DB2 Systems Programmer Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced DB2 Systems Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and migration of IBM DB2 for z/OS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and execute DB2 for z/OS subsystem installations, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM DB2 utilities and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) tools.
  • Monitor DB2 subsystem health, performance, and resource utilization.
  • Provide expert-level support for DB2 incidents, including problem determination and resolution.
  • Work closely with DBAs and other teams to ensure smooth operation of database environments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience as a Mainframe DB2 Systems Programmer.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with IBM DB2 for z/OS installation, configuration, maintenance, and migration.
  • Strong proficiency in JCL, TSO/ISPF, and SMP/E.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with Parallel Sysplex and DB2 Data Sharing environments.
  • Knowledge of IBM MQ for z/OS, IMS, or CICS connectivity with DB2.
