Objective:

We are seeking an experienced API Management Developer to join our team.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in integration implementation and architecture, with hands-on experience in API management tools, preferably IBM API Connect (APIC). They will also possess sound knowledge on the REST API, API lifecycle management, security (OAuth, JWT, MTLS), and API gateway patterns. Additionally, they should have proven experience with API governance, developer portal configuration, and subscription models, as well as experience in building CI/CD pipelines and automation for API deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement API integrations and architectures
  • Configure and manage API management tools, such as IBM API Connect (APIC)
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs, including API lifecycle management and security
  • Implement API governance and developer portal configurations
  • Build and automate CI/CD pipelines for API deployment

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in integration implementation and architecture
  • Hands-on experience with API management tools, preferably IBM API Connect (APIC)
  • Sound knowledge on the REST API, API lifecycle management, security (OAuth, JWT, MTLS), and API gateway patterns
  • Proven experience with API governance, developer portal configuration, and subscription models
  • Experience in building CI/CD pipelines and automation for API deployment

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Observability concepts, Open Telemetry and Splunk
  • Familiarity with Backstage, Git Hubs and Azure DevOps
  • Experience working in Agile environments, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation and articulation skills, including technical documentation and guideline writing
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management to collaborate across departments
  • Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
