Job Opportunity:

A seasoned IT professional is required to provide hardware support services in a dynamic data center environment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of network and server infrastructure, with expertise in cable management, installation, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities include testing and installing cables and optics, supporting rack and stack operations, and performing labeling, patching, and asset tagging according to standard operating procedures.

  • Test and install copper, fiber, and power cables for new circuits.
  • Support server and network teams with hardware deployment and maintenance tasks.
  • Perform routine checks and submit detailed reports as per procedural task lists.
  • Conduct functional testing and failure analysis on hardware systems.
Break-Fix Support Tasks:
  • Clean and inspect optical fibers using LC fiber scoping tools.
  • Replace or install faulty optical cables and loopbacks.
  • Perform Bit Error Rate (BER) testing and troubleshoot associated issues.
  • Handle component replacements, RMA diagnostics, and reboot chassis configurations.
  • Assist with remote circuit testing using loop-back cables and perform basic storage array settings.
  • Power cycle hardware units and replace faulty components.
Required Skills:
  • DWDM, IPv4/IPv6, Optical Fiber (MPO), RJ45.
  • Proficiency in fiber tools: VFL, OPM, OTDR, and BERT.
  • Core activities: cabling, configuration, optimization, inventory, and documentation.
  • Technical skills: cleaning, loop-back, line card replacements, BER testing, and break-fix methodologies.
  • Systems knowledge: remote access tools, network hardware, and storage arrays.
  • Support areas: SLA/KPI, RCA/CAR, asset management, and fault diagnosis.
