Job Title: Outlet Department Head

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Outlet Department Head to join our team at Accor. As an Outlet Department Head, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our outlet, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement outlet budgets and review forecasts on revenue and expenditure on a monthly basis.
  • Analyze and submit month-end reports, identifying deviations from business plan goals.
  • Participate in management meetings to review progress towards achievement of business plan goals and develop annual business plans.
  • Implement and maintain control measures to ensure that food and beverage costs, productivity, labor costs, and operating supply costs are in line with budget.
  • Conduct departmental briefings to ensure that all pertinent information is well received by team members.
  • Supervise team members to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Build relationships with guests and regular patrons, extending personalized service.
  • Handle guest complaints and comments tactfully and efficiently.
  • Maintain departmental communication logbooks and updated notice boards.
  • Check supply of equipment and stock levels, ensuring no shortage of items impacting operations and guests.
  • Check outlet and back-of-house cleanliness, ensuring compliance with F&B sanitation and hygiene rules and regulations.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage services, contents, and preparation methods.
  • Ensure health, safety, and security procedures are in place in the outlet.
  • Attend all briefings, meetings, and trainings as assigned by management.
  • Perform proper handovers and communication to the next shift.
  • Assist other food and beverage outlets during peak times or when required.
  • Interview, select, and recruit outlet employees.
  • Identify and develop team members with potential.
  • Conduct performance reviews with the team.
  • Monitor team members' appearance, attitude, and professionalism.
  • Develop and conduct staff training programs for team members.
  • Prepare weekly staff schedules, considering anticipated business, operating budgets, and standards of service.
  • Prepare payroll and gratuity reports.
  • Conduct monthly departmental meetings to provide information, obtain feedback, rectify operation issues, and provide a regular forum for department communication.
Qualifications:
  • Secondary/High school education.
  • Additional certification(s) in Food and Beverage will be an advantage.
  • Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language.
  • Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • High degree of professionalism with sound human resources management and business acumen capabilities.
