Job Summary

\

This role is focused on delivering high-quality support for Hitachi Storage solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing SAN and storage environments, including hands-on expertise with Hitachi Mid-Range and Enterprise storages.

Key Responsibilities:

\
  • Collaborate with customer's storage support teams to ensure seamless support delivery\
  • Participate in problem solving and troubleshooting for assigned tasks, functional areas or projects\
  • Support the design, operation, workflow and issue resolution for the storage infrastructure\
  • Maintain systems level maintenance for storage infrastructure\
  • Track existing storage usage trending and capacity planning for future growth\
  • Maintain storage documentation, procedures and reporting\
  • Provide Storage Area Network Configuration and Administration\
  • Manage infrastructure events, including capacity management, monitoring storage subsystem and SAN switch capacity\
  • Investigate and diagnose raised problem(s) or problem records for root cause analysis\
  • Mentor and train junior admins\
  • Oversee the design, installation, configuration and de-provision of storage solutions\
  • Perform performance management for SAN and storage, including capacity tuning and remediation recommendations\
  • Ensure IT Service continuity management, including monitoring of disaster recovery solutions, data movement and replication, and business resumption testing\
  • Partner with onsite RE to identify and develop skills requirements for the assigned scope\
  • Ensure adherence to best practices from Hitachi Global Support and company change management policies\
  • Interface with assigned Hitachi storage engineers to manage the implementation of all additional storage infrastructure and storage services\
