About this role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and sustainable technology products and solutions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing new systems from the ground up with minimal support.
  • Collaborating with local and partner teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Ensuring that all engineering work meets quality standards.
  • Identifying performance issues and optimizing solutions to meet business needs.
  • Applying knowledge of security coding practices and secure system fundamentals.
  • Leading end-to-end engineering for projects and problems of complex scope and impact within practice.
  • Developing robust application design and producing patterns to ensure applications are resilient and scalable.
  • Accountable for ensuring engineering teams meet production SLAs of applications/systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in backend engineering, including expertise in Java/Spring Boot, design patterns, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Postgres SQL, CD/CD, GitHub, Jenkins, Kafka, and Agile methodology.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture patterns, synchronous/asynchronous processing, and error handling patterns with Spring Boot.
