Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Securities Settlements Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various functions related to securities settlements, including pre-matching, settlements, sufficiency, depot transfers, and controls. You will work closely with internal teams and external counterparties to ensure timely and accurate settlement of trades.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize daily workload, work accurately and efficiently under pressure, and communicate effectively. You will also possess advanced Excel skills, including macro creation and basic understanding of VBA and SQL.

Responsibilities
  • Perform securities settlements functions, including pre-matching, settlements, sufficiency, depot transfers, and controls.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external counterparties to ensure timely and accurate settlement of trades.
  • Create macros in Excel to help streamline work and improve efficiency.
  • Contribute to consistent delivery on business metrics and set higher standards of self and team performance.
  • Build productive teams that work effectively together to achieve or exceed set operational targets.
  • Provide coaching and support to individuals to develop their skills and act as a role model for excellent behavior and performance.
Requirements
  • Graduate or postgraduate degree, preferably in computers as second stream.
  • Experience in handling monthly deliverables, such as dashboards and risk matrices.
  • Familiarity with Global Capital Markets and ability to maintain good connections with LOB partners.
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
