Our company seeks a seasoned Java developer with expertise in backend system design, relational databases, and large-scale data processing frameworks. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of professional experience and a strong track record of managing client expectations, gathering requirements, tracking progress, and collaborating with development managers and leads.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate requirement gathering sessions to translate business requirements into actionable technical tasks.
  • Design and implement Apache Spark-based batch jobs and large-scale data processing pipelines.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, procedures, and database objects in Oracle.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, understanding their needs, capturing requirements, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project status, manage risks and issues, and ensure alignment with timelines and deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with development managers, leads, and QA teams to define schedules, allocate resources, and make key implementation decisions.
  • Contribute to design discussions, architecture reviews, and enforce coding standards and best practices.
  • Support the development team in troubleshooting issues and resolving production defects effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional Java development experience with strong backend system design exposure.
  • Expertise in Oracle SQL and relational databases; ability to write and optimize complex queries and procedures.
  • Experience with batch processing systems and exposure to Apache Spark or equivalent large-scale data processing frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of job scheduling tools such as Control-M or Autosys.
  • Excellent client interaction and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and negotiate priorities.
  • Experience in project tracking, delivery management, and coordinating across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to work in Agile or iterative delivery environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivery ownership.
