Job Overview

We seek an experienced project leader to oversee middleware-based API and system integrations for a wealth management platform.

This critical role ensures seamless integration of our core platform with external systems and services. It requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to drive successful delivery of projects across internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining project scope, milestones, and success metrics, as well as tracking and managing integration workstreams. They will also ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and operational risk standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead integration projects across internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and secure rollouts.
  • Define project scope, milestones, and success metrics for middleware/API integrations.
  • Coordinate middleware service requirements between developers and business teams.
  • Track and manage integration workstreams: real-time APIs, batch jobs, Kafka/RabbitMQ, SFTP.
  • Validate data contracts, mapping, and transformation rules.
  • Ensure compliance with API security, data privacy, and operational risk standards.
  • Document integration touchpoints, workflows, and SLAs.
  • Provide visibility on risks, blockers, and delivery status to senior stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years in project/program management of API & middleware integrations.
  • Mandatory: Experience in the wealth management / WealthTech / BFSI investment domain.
  • Strong understanding of system integration techniques (APIs, message queues, SFTP).
  • Familiarity with API management tools (Kong, Apigee, AWS API Gateway).
  • Exposure to Node.js-based architectures, Kafka, RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of financial data formats (FIX, OFX, JSON, XML).
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and delivery skills.
